So your golf car needs a tune up…
As an authorized dealer, we primarily service our partnered brands: YAMAHA, EZGO, CUSHMAN, and EVOLUTION. We would love to be your go-to if your unit falls under the scope of our expertise and needs warranty work, an annual service, or any other repairs needed.
Here’s how it works:
Diagnostic
Every repair starts with a multi-point inspection and diagnostic. We take the time to figure out why your golf car is doing everything but what you want it to. Afterward, we communicate and send an estimate of the cost of repairs needed to fix it.
Approval needed
We always ask for written and/or verbal approval via email and our phone lines are recorded to minimize any “He said, She said”. Once we receive approval, we order parts and get the ball rolling.
repairs
Once we get parts in, we get to work. Keep in mind that we are an incredibly small team, so the timeline for when your golf car is fully repaired may vary. Especially if issues arise during the repair process.

FAQs
-
Our labor rate is currently $130 an hour. And our diagnostic is always billed as an hour of labor.
A diagnostic involves a multi-point inspection where we get down and dirty to find the root of your unit’s issue.
In addition, we do charge a shop supply fee that starts at $27.99. The shop supply fee covers smaller items that are not able to be itemized such as: battery terminal protectant, tools, and more.
-
We recommend getting your golf car serviced once a year or every 100 hours driven. That way the chance of any issues arising is minimized.
-
It depends on the type of batteries and the maintenance habits you have for them.
To be more specific, we are a Trojan dealer. Most of their flooded lead-acid batteries will last anywhere between 3-5 years depending on how often your golf car is used, the water levels, and sometimes the temperature.
Flooded Lead-Acid batteries need to be maintained more often than any other.
AGM batteries are low-maintenance but last up to 6-7 years.
Lithium batteries are no-maintenance and will often last up to 8-10 years as long as the unit is properly charged and routinely checked.
Gas batteries last up to 3-5 years.
-
For flooded lead-acid batteries, it is recommended to check the water levels every two weeks and top off with distilled water as needed. We also recommend charging your golf car when not in use and cycling the charger at least once a month. This is to prevent the batteries from losing voltage when not in use.
-
We highly recommend having someone check on your golf car when it’s not in use. Alternatively, we have a winter storage program where we’ll pick up, service and manage your unit, and deliver it when the new season starts! Typically runs between September - April.
-
Yes, we do pick up and deliver units for service. The minimum amount for round trip is $210.
As far as onsite, we are unfortunately unable to schedule immediate service. If it aligns with our travel technician’s schedule between all their stops at our Yamaha golf courses, we can definitely work around our limitations.
-
We aren’t often able to get new parts for anything older than 2005 via factory and aftermarket avenues. However, we do have our old stock that we sell on Ebay here: Boswell’s Golf Ebay Storefront. We can also help find a diagram for your unit as long as it falls under the brands we carry. Just shoot us an email at parts@boswellsgolf.com or scroll back up to fill out our Parts Lookup form!
